AIESEC Exchange Program

About the AIESEC Exchange Program

INTRODUCTION.
Exchange is the most intense learning experience that AIESEC offers, and it links together our global network. Every year, we provide thousands of exchange participants the challenging opportunity to live and work for an AIESEC partner company abroad in areas of management, information technology, education, and development.

TYPES OF INTERNSHIPS.

THE GIP PROCESS: APPLY. INTEGRATE. FLY.
  1. Apply. After attending the Exchange Program Orientation and having understood the rudiments of the AIESEC Exchange Program, eligible participants (see Eligibility and Fees) are now ready to begin their two-step application process. This application process is comprised of an Assessment Center and the Review Board Interview. The Assessment Center is composed of a set of activities designed to gauge applicants' competencies. Those who make it through are qualified for the Review Board Interview, a panel interview and the final step to becoming an AIESEC Exchange Participant.
  2. Integrate. Living and working abroad can be a challenge. To alleviate this problem, AIESEC offers resources and workshops to ensure that our exchange participants are equipped and ready to take on an experience of a lifetime. For example, the Ambassador's Day is an activity set to help exchange participants adapt to new cultures. Leadership Roles will also be available to Exchange Participants for them to get to know the organization better. Exchange participants are also provided the chance to work abroad with the organization as part of a buddy system, where they are paired with trainees from other countries doing their internship in the Philippines.
  3. Fly. Once details have been finalized with the AIESEC partner company abroad, you are now ready to fly and start your internship! AIESEC will be there along the way. While AIESEC members in the host chapter will provide support in settling down and opportunities for cultural and social growth, our members here in the Philippines will be in constant communication.

WHY GO ON EXCHANGE?

The Global Internship Program offers a positive learning experience; interaction with a different social and cultural environment with a view to gaining intercultural competencies; opportunity to apply personal and professional skills, knowledge, attitudes and values to work for the organization as well as the host communities; awareness and knowledge of social issues and different practices of the sending and hosting country; and, the opportunity to contribute to personal and professional life goals.
